Alright my American women let's have a chat!! It's election time and I am here to tell you GO VOTE! They have curbside voting for those that can't come in to vote and don't want to \do mail in ballets (because those are being tossed out for the slightest of errors). They also have electronic voting for those worried about fake ballot boxes (like the republicans set up in California) or changing of the vote as was done last year. For my responsible citizens out there doing their civil duties of voting, I have a few tips to ensure your vote counts. After that this is the disclaimer that I am not a fan of Trump or the republican party right now and I will share why and some facts you should know before going out to vote. But FIRST, LET'S VOTE!
1. CHECK TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE REGISTERED TO VOTE
If you aren't already registered to vote, you can register here. If you are already registered, FANTASTIC! You are already a step ahead!
2. CHECK YOUR VOTER LOCATIONS.
You can check what locations you can go to vote at by googling "find polling places" and put in your address in the following area:
3. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A PHOTO ID
You can find out what would pass as an acceptable ID and get answers to other questions you may have
here
4. PLAN FOR 20 MINS - 1 HR FOR VOTING DEPENDING HOW BUSY YOUR LOCATION IS.
If you work you will need to call in to work and plan to come in late ahead of time or plan to go during the weekend and plan for the weekend to be busier. When I went in, it took me 20 mins max but it can get busier based on location and day and time.
5. KNOW WHO YOU ARE VOTING FOR. KNOW THE NAMES OF YOUR PARTY REPRESENTATIVES.
You won't be able to use your phone to look up the names of your candidates. They also have some states that have the republican choices showing more prominent then democrat and independent parties so make sure you know who you are trying to vote for. If you happen to have an electronic ballot like I did then they will have the affiliated party provided along with the names.
6. IF YOU ARE VOTING ON PAPER, MAKE SURE YOU ARE FILLING IN THE WHOLE CIRCLE!!!
Your vote doesn't get counted if you check mark or put an X for your choice. Regardless of what the guides at the centers are saying, remember FILL IN THE WHOLE CIRCLE.
7. IF YOU ARE DOING A MAIL IN BALLOT- FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE T!
You can find out what the rules and deadlines for your state is by looking it up. The following is an accurate tool to determine rules and deadlines for your state:
8. ONCE YOU ARE DONE VOTING- SHARE WITH YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY! ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO VOTE AND WEAR YOUR STICKER PROUDLY!
Now for my rant about voting and facts you should know....
1. Trump is NOT a good president for the following reasons
a. He is not as rich as he said he was- he has billions of dollars in debt and intends to use American tax dollars to pay them off if he is reelected.
b. He has committed tax fraud and as the President he should NOT be participating in illegal activities in any way
c. He has not taken covid seriously and has cost over 200,000+ American's lives
d. He does not care about the American people. He has time and time again encouraged the white supremacist on NATIONAL TV and fail to protect the POC living in the United States.
e. He does not care for women. He has multiple rape cases against him and strongly believes in controlling women and making decisions for them.
f. He has multiple cases open in multiple states and is avoiding arrest by staying in office.
2. The Republican party is trying to rig the elections in multiple states and have received a seize and desist letter for putting up fake ballot boxes in California and refuse to take stop and all the ballots in those boxes will be tossed out rather then counted. We are still unsure if this is happening in other states as well but it is highly possible.
3. The daughter of the guy rigging the election and shared the plans for rigging the election her dad had after he died and it was covered up and ignored and the government failed to take action against or even investigate this claim
4. With a majority republican government in all three houses, the checks and balances system of our country is faltered and fails to take into account the well being of the American people. For the government to function in behalf of the people all three houses should have multiple parties representing the people including the independent party.
AND THAT CONCLUDES OUR ELECTION SEASON DISCUSSION FOR TODAY. WHO WILL YOU VOTE FOR? WHY? WHAT POLICIES WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE ENFORCED? WHAT CHANGES WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE IN OUR GOVERNMENT?
